I own a domain name, but I'm having problems with mail going astray.

Which company offers the cheapest but most reliable e-mail hosting service?

I don't need website hosting, just the e-mail, but I do need to be able to send large attachments.
Here I go again on my own....

hmm.... it is highly unlikely that emails to you are 'going astray' i would recommend you check your domain control panel to make sure that all email sent to your domain (no matter what goes before the @) is sent to you. This should be enabled automatically, but some hosts might not do this. Contact your domain host to check before you waste money sorting it out.

Having said this, most companies will not charge for transferring your domain, so you shouldnt expect to pay anything for this.

It's mail being sent to myname@domainname that is going missing. The same e-mail address is being used on each occasion.

Companies I work for are sending mail to me. Some e-mails arrive and some don't.

Some e-mails I expect to get never arrive, like order confirmations when you buy things.

The hosting company said there is no problem so won't look into it.

i had same problem because of attachments over the preset 10mb allowance... could this be the problem?

i would recommend emailing your domain host anyway... it may be a very simply problem that can easily be fixed without the trouble of transferring a domain.

Just for the record I use http://www.betterwebspace.com/Packages.php
Never had any problems. Found it easy to set up. Costs (from memory) £12 a year for their "Easy1" package.

I use https://www.traveltek.net for my hosting, they are fantastic no downtime that I know of for over 3 years even when they make upgrades, they arnt the cheapest but the team that deal with the servers really know their stuff. large email attachments are the biggest problem 10mb and your screwed as most mailservers either have a 10mb limit on the mailbox or a 10mb limit on the email size so it doesnt really matter, Traveltek will even give you an smtp server which will handel large sent emails that alot or ISP servers wont allow
