Tesco Home Insurance

I've been with esure for a few years and been lucky enough never needed to claim.
Got my renewal letter a couple of weeks ago, so I thought I'd just do a bit of comparisons with other insurers.
For the same amount of money, Tesco home insurance seemed to offer a much better deal so have gone with them instead.
Just thought I'd type tesco home insurance review into google. and some of the reviews are particularly favourable ! I guess that most people who bother to write a review for home insurance companies are only doing so because they had a bad experience, so am I worrying needlessly?
Is tesco home insurance any good if you ever need to claim?
I've got 14 days to change my mind !!

I would imagine all insurers are roughly the same, assuming you discount the HNW suppliers. People will generally only complain online if they have a problem about it- what you dont read are the literally tens of thousands of happy customers, for all companies that have been paid.0

The people that I know that have used them for Home and Car, have been generally impressed with the service, including any claims that they have had.
The policy is currently underwritten by UK Insurance, part of RBS Insurance, but when your policy is next due for renewal it will probably be underwritten by Fortis. Tesco will start migrating policies over to Fortis, sometime next year. Fortis also have a decent reputation. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0
