prob not..u need proof of purchase (either bank statement or receipt)..is it their own brand cos if it is they may offer a voucher/credit note but take note it might be for the price its going through the till as (it may have gone down since u got it)
if in doubt ring the store n take a note of the name who you spoke to incase you need to go back to the store.

That's correct. However with a clearly sealed bottle of booze and a dated receipt some will use common sense and accept it.
The biggest issue is lack of receipt. Spirits are the main category stolen from food retailers, returning them for cash is even better than having to flog it down the pub. I'm in no way saying this is the case with the OP, just the retailer will be suspicious.0 -
