Swapping one double oven (electric) for another

Options
Hi
i am changing my double electric over for a new one. The exisiting one is hardwired and then new one requires to be hardwired as well.
Is there anything that i should be aware of or can i simply turn off the power, detach oven 1, using the same cable wire it into oven 2, turn power on and use?

Thanks in advance

Steve

It is an easy DIY job. Your new oven will come with installation instructions.

I am equally curious to know this too! Does Newbie even have a BRB or OSG??

Does anyone want to tell them that BS7671:2008 ISN'T "law" either???
  • i thought if it was a new installation, ie circuit being fitted in kitchen it had to be done by a qualified person

for a replacement anyone can do it.
You got to get through what you've got to go through to get what you want but you got to know what you want to get through what you got to go through.
