Updating a medion gps GoPal

Hi I was wondering if anyone knew how to update a Medion Gopal sat nav, Ive looked online at the official site ect...and it seems i will need to buy new maps at the cost of £120, which is more than i paid for the unit.
I wouldnt normally be botherd but its about 3 years out of date and keeps taking me to the wrong place or wanting me to go to places that no longer exist, and dosent recognise new places.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think you'll have much luck there, because like all the other satnav makers, Navigon/Medion want to make lots of lovely money selling the updates - so they make it as difficult as they can to do it without paying them.

Have a look in the Navigon/Medion forum section on Pocketgpsworld - you may find an answer there, or get an answer if you pose the question directly.

Thanks for your help il have a look now, if I have to spend £120 id rather buy a tomtom which i can update, it just seems a shame to throw away a unit that is working perfectly just needs to be upto date!
