British Gas Texting me, stop it

In the last week British Gas have been sending me annoying advertising texts from number 88673.

Ive text back 'stop; and received a message:
'From British Gas. Thanks for your response of STOP. We're sorry we could not process this. Please send in the requested format.'

How can i stop them from bugging me?

Ta
Tim

Call up and ask the call centre to remove SMS messaging from your account.

I have a complaint with BG about the constant phone calls from there services dept, I have asked 3 times in recent weeks to stop ringing me up trying to sell me boiler insurance, twice in last week and because I get told they make sure I wont, but still do I now written to them to complain

The last calls was from Ireland from BG only other day and previous spoke to a lady from Birmingham who gave me there Southampton address

I took my number off my account but they still pester me, I must have over last 2 months had around 20+ calls and it is BG because I checked the number and you cant ring them on that number as you just get a message

I just about had enough of them now. If they ring again I will be complaining to Ofcom or who ever it is who deals with complaints about cold calling

They really should have recognised the keyword stop. May be worth trying STOP ALL. if they don't recognise that pretty sure they are in breach of some code as all shortcode SMS services must respond to stop or stop all

register your mobile number with the tps as well may help

You need to tell them to wait a minute. Then go away and fotget them.
