Help with speeding/cleaning up pc

Hi,
Just looking for a bit of "hand-holding" as I work my way through various processes to speed up/clean up pc. I started with the excellent "sticky" re malware/virus, so far I have run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM), and then in safe mode I have run:
** CCleaner
** Spybot S&D
** Ad Aware
and fixed any problems found.
Should I now upload a HJT log for somebody to check?
I also need to look at which programs are installed (over the years they have increased!) so am aiming to remove some and also need to review the programs in the start-up folder...sure there are way too many!
Finally, I am also looking at my anti-virus (AVG free) as it says database is outstanding?
Any help gratefully received!!:o

After 12 months use a re-install is required and further cleaning / time spent trying to get to a clean working installation of files is a waste of your time, backup your data and re-install the OS.0
-
I'd fix these, then run CCleaner (Registry and cleaner) again, reboot, then see how things are running

Thanks, this was my original plan but thought I would have a look at a tidy up first. No sig!0 -
This certainly isn't the worst-looking log I've ever seen...see how the full clean-up goes first
