confused?? wma / mp3 how do i convert

hi there

i have loads of great help from people on this site since i bought a mp4 player. i have been putting music onto my mp4 straight from cd to computer to mp4.

is there a way to convert the music to smaller files to get more on. i am a total dummy where it comes to this kind of stuff. i have windows media player on the computer but do i need software to convert the music and if so can any tell me how to get it and use it.

What youll need is something called Media Player 10 and youll have to download that from here http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/mp10/default.aspx there are loads of other freebies out there but this si quite simple.

Now download it then install, then Pop in a CD and you will want to RIP the music of the CD onto your PC but before you do that just Start Media Player then, Tools, Options, Rip Music Tab and select MP£ from the drop down menu and choose 192kbps on the slider then OK now when you rip you can copy loads on the PC then copy them onto the player and youll fit loads on.
