I have no idea why I put a smilety o the end of that, lol. Avast sprung a pop up to say a trojan had been detected, when I tried to move it to the vault it says it couldn't, tried to delete it and same message came up.

I have had a probalem with this before and Gunjack advised me to run Hijackthis, which I've done, but the report is baffling me, lol.

I forgot about Malware, I'm downloading that now and will run it

Luckily, on the advice of a lovely MSE-er, I've put more memory in my pc and so it's crashes a lot less now and is quicker than it was. Are there any processes that run that you could suggest don't need to? I'm not that technical and so all advice is always welcomed.

Thanks for the tip! I've run Malware, it took a while but nothing came up. The Spybot I have is the free version and it says there are 94 infections found which it won't deal with unless I subscribe to the full version. Hrrrmff.

Please open malwarebytes and goto LOGS and post the WHOLE of the log (Even though it never found anything)

Spybot ~ never had a problem with spybot removing things before so unsure whats going on there (Unless theres a limit on the number it will remove)

Anyways, clearly if spybot found something then you must have SOMETHING on your computer

That's not Spybot Search & Destroy! You have presumably downloaded something else.

Download the real thing from here and read the tutorials etc.

lucy, you've got spyware DOCTOR on your machine, and you've downloaded the limited trial version. Uninstall it, and get the totally free one from here:-

It would be worth doing this to see if it found the same infections, but this version will delete them if it does without asking you to upgrade and pay. Just remember to update the definitions before scanning, as with any newly-installed av/am prog

You were right...it was Spyware Doctor I had, the place I downloaded Spybot from installed that too. Hmmm. Deleted it all off and did Spybot check and it was fine.

The Malware log was quite straightforward to as it said 0 infected files all the way across. So it looks like I am all clear!
