Painting a UPVC door

Options
Our front door is rosewood upvc both sides.

It was in place when we bought the house, but I have always thought that it would be nice if the inside of the door was white (like the windows that we have since replaced) as it would seem a lot brighter.

I have seen that you can buy a primer for UPVC and wonder if anyone has used this for the same and if so - was it a success as obviously it has to be hard wearing.

Many thanks

The primer is to make the topcoat stick to the UPVC - the topcoat needs to be hard wearing. For the primer:

    1. Surface MUST be scrupulously clean

    2. Dulux Trade Ultra Grip Primer or

    3. Owatrol ESP.

Ultra Grip is a two part system which some peeps do not like using. ESP gives a clear result - so you are effectively one coat behind. ESP got rave reviews on Changing Rooms but as they always achieve the impossible in 30 microseconds........................:D

Oh yes, sorry, I've only used the Dulux - works well.

    Cheers
