Hi
Simple question but one i'm not sure of the answer to.
I am looking into the possibility of changing my current gas and elec suppliers but I owe them £70 pounds on one account and £130 on the other do I have to pay this back before I can leave them or is the debt carried over to the new company?
Thanks

The debt won't be carried over, you will have to settle it with your current supplier. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Some suppliers may also prevent you from switching if there is any debt0
