Is there any really impartial advice?

Any advice truly appreciated.
This is quite possible - I worked for a finance company once who set up another collection company under a different name and a PO Box address giving the impression it was about 100 miles away when in reality they were within a paper clip throwing distance of my desk.Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0 -
I'd get down to your local CAB pronto. Harassment of a debtors is a criminal offence and once you report this to the CAB, they will contact the creditor and inform them that they are now monitoring the levels of harassment and that the matter will also be reported to the OFT - this is standard procedure.
or, see here for more details/options:

HTHI can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!I thunk I've made you think for a minute!:j :rotfl: :j0 -
Hey there, dont give up... Make suure you battle them left right and centre. Im sorry I dont really know the secured market too well... my expertise is unsecured, however, now they have the vehicle back, i guess it is now an unsecured debt and they like any other lender should now have to go through the appropriate channels. If it were no classed as unsecured debt and. say you just ignore and dont pay them and it went to court for a CCJ... Then BH would have to prove the whole shabbang !!
I wouldnt worry and let yourself get down, you have a business to run... and believe me, if you have seen any of my other posts... you know how much !!!! I have had to deal with. head up high... let them spend as much money as they like threatening etc etc etc and if they take you to court, defend it and go to court.....

Thanks for the encouragement. I will defend all the way!
It just makes me mad to see how the big financial institutions like to rub salt into wounds, yet hide behind a facade of 'respectability'.
Funny how all letters are digitally signed by their operations manager, he must be a very busy man, perhaps that's why he has not found the time to reply to my letters personally.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hi, Rog2! Getting yourself some impartial advice is probably the best thing you can do. CAB will be good, or CCCS (links at the top of the page).
Black Horse are infamous within the advice agencies for being bu99ers when clients get into difficulties. Don't take this the wrong way, but the sooner you leave try and deal with this on your own, the more tricky it'll be to sort it out.
CAB can be contacted by e-mail, but turning up on their doorstep, before they're open, as they often have a queue, will give you the best chance of being seen.
Take along all your information - the credit agreement especially. I'm assuming from what you've said that this is HP, rather than credit sale??

NDR are not affiliated with Blackhorse, they are coded seperately with CCCS and deal with debts from other creditors also.0 -

More advice needed, please.
At the end of the week it will be 40 days since I asked BH for information. Other than the two letters, from National Collection Services (see above) I have heard nothing from BH.
Is this normal, i.e. that they make you wait the full 40 days, before giving any information under DPA?
Assuming that they do not supply any information (40 days period finishes on Friday), what should be my next step?I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Hi. - It is, now, 40 days since I requested information, under terms of DPA, from BH. As of 10 am I have received nothing - not even an acknowledgement of my request.
I have checked, with royal mail, that the letter was received - received 27.06.06, and signed for.
Who should I inform?
I have, however, received a third letter from Nationwide Collection Services Ltd. stating that legal action may be taken against me if I do not pay them the full amount within seven days.
Should I write to NCS or just wait for a summons?I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
