3 mobile making me pay

I have a mobile contract with orange,a dealer for 3 mobile called IN JULY to see if i wanted a contract with them.I said that i had a contract with orange but i would change if it wouldn't cost me to do so.They told me that they would sort everything out with orange.I wasnt sure how long i had left on my contract but i didnt think it was for long.A coulple of weeks later I spoke to the dealer, 'business telecom', they said that orange were being a little awkward +she needed a password.I gave her this.
A further 2 weeks went by +she said that they were trying to sort it out.i spoke to them another 2 weeks later only to find that orange wouldnt let me out of my contract as i had 15mths left.
(i have had orange for years+never remember when contacts start agian.)When i said that i could not take the contract,as i cannot afford 2 mobiles, they told me that the cancellation period had passed +i should speak to 3.
I did at the end of august.I had 2 bills by then, which i was not prepared to pay.i did ,however pay for the usage(on 2nd september) which they were happy with.I told them that i wanted to cancel the contract+that the dealer wouldnt help me as it was down to 3 mobile now.
They said that they would look into canceling the contract +they would keep me informed, i could call to keep track. They didnt call, the bills keep arriving. I have e-mailed + written to them saying that i didnt want the phone,i would send it back if i was given an address.
At the moment 'business telecom' will not cancel the contract,3 say that its down to business telecom to come to some sort of agreement,or if i cancel i have to pay for all the bills since july plus £560.00 cancellation fee.
What should i do? Am i in the wrong for not paying.I know i should have checked my orange contract but they always have all the information, they normally tell you how long you have left to run.
I would be grateful for some advice.Thankyou.

so 3 offer to pay your orange cancellation, if you move to them, you agree, they move you, then find orange disagree, 3 still want money, so do orange?
Have you got the agreement for 3 paying orange in writting, if not you have very big problems as they will lie and lie to you to get you to switch, and unless you cna prove what the operater said then your stuffed.
I took out a new contract with vodaphone hal way through my other, and came to a very complicated agreement with my old contract. It worked out as a reducing balance each month, ie £50 1st month for 2 phones, £45 the next, £40, and so on until £30 where it would hold, i rang to ask why i had not recieved my discount and they said i was lying and they would not have done that as it would lose them money:rolleyes: Luckily, i had proof in the form of an email with monthly amounts and an explanation to shove in her face(down the phone? lol) and told her she was the liar. I received my discount promptly and an extra gesture for my hassle.
But yeh just proves what they will do to get you in a contract. Hope it works out.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Thanyou for your help.
I dont have anything in writing, but they have recorded the calls+they said that they would listen to them.
They make it sound so easy over the phone, but things never are.
I will keep trying.
Cheers!0
