Kitchen floor- leveling

Options
Sorry... another plea for help.

Moved into a house fairly recently... the kitchen floor consisted of a sheet laminate on top of tiles on top of concrete. The laminate doesn't fit properly and is torn where due to the door to the living room being set too low.

We have purchased some laminate flooring.... I initially started removing some tiles, but am now not convinced this was a good idea and may be better to just retile the small areas where I've removed tiles and just laminate over the tiles.

However... in removing some tiles I've removed some bits of concrete near the back door leading to unevenness- probably an area of 20cmx 5cm (depth 0.5cm)

What is the best way to level this back to the height of the concrete floor?

Thanks
Keith

Take the tiles up, if you're going to do the job you might as well do it right the first time. Dont worry about the bits of old concrete coming up, once everything is taken up sweep the floor or better still if you have a builders vac hoover it and take up any loose debris. To level the floor get some latex screed to repair the damaged areas. Once that has gone off you can lay your new floor on a decent base

    Thanks for that!

That was my initial plan, but the problem is that the tiles go under the kitchen units- some of the kitchen units legs have been placed on the tiles!

Is there a way to deal with this because if I try to take the tiles from below the units, presumably that will cause lots of problems!!
