Air France ruined my CHristmas

I am on holiday in Milwaukee USA, having got here delayed several times by Air France, The wife and 4 kids, but not one single suitcase. No winter ski clothes, no gifts to give to our friends, no make-up, toiletries, etc etc. We can buy a few things on the insurance, but it's such a pain in the butt and ruins the holiday.

2 years to save up for this? I shall endeavour to have fun, but surely it can't be that difficult putting luggage on a plane can it?

The advice I give on here is based on my many years in the preservation industry. I choose to remain anonymous, I have no desire to get work from anyone. No one can give 100% accurate advice on a forum if I get it wrong you'll get a sincere apology and that's all:D

You can't seriously expect to fly through CDG and not lose luggage?

Surely you'll have been sensible and put the basics for 1-2 days for all in your hand luggage...surely?

Not an easy thing to do these days, with severe restrictions on carry-on size and weight; not to mention rules about liquids etc.

In any case, I hope this is resolved speedily for the OP. It must be so very disappointing - not to mention frustrating - being faced with such a situation.
