£2 Statutory Credit File - not showing CC

in Credit cards
I just got by £2 Statutory repory off Equifax. I provided my address that I have lived at and been registered to vote at for 7 years. My old/linked address are shown on the report I received, but not 2 of my credit cards.
These are still registered at my previous address (parents place - haven't bothered changing these as some online places only deliver to the registered card address and its easier to get parcels sent to my parents place).
Does this show up if finances houses search for your report but not if you do it personally? Or is it £2 per address for the Statutory report?

Normally lenders will ask for 6 years worth of addresses, so if you only supply your current address then no they won't see the cards at your old address.0

And I also have a current loan with A&L at my old address which also does not show on my creditreport. I originally took it out in 2002, and just before it was due end in 2007, I borrowed some more money on a new 5yr term. My mortgage does not show up either! I bought my current house as Buy to Let in 2002 and was living with my parents at the time (5min away) . After renting it for 6months I moved into it my self and have living there ever since. All the mortagage statements still get sent to my parents place. At the end of my Equifax report it shows when I bought my house and how mush I bought it for (from the land Registory I guess), but with now mortage on my credit file it makes it seem I own it out right. Is this some big loophole with credit files??0

I don't think so.
If people register accounts at the "wrong" address then how can the credit file system be at fault.
Not having these accounts show up could have a negative effect on your creditworthiness.
Are you sure you aren't breaching any terms and conditions by not updating your addresses. Lenders want this information to (if necessary) pursue you for debt. I'm sure for that reason that they would want to know your correct address.
I'm not saying you are deliberately deceiving, I can see why you have done it, but I would make sure you aren't in breach of any terms & conditions and also be aware that the lack of positive history (at your current address) may negatively effect you.0 -
Some may just show on your Experian file0

Nothing underhand, I have plenty of history at my current address, 2x loans 3 credit cards, 1 HP and a contract phone.
I didn't change the 2 CC I have at my parents place so I can have parcels sent there (no lost parcels from the postmen leaving it on the doorstep when I am at work or have to drive 30min to pick something up from the Courrier company that can only deliver during working hours when I am not at home. May parents address (my old one) is down on my credit file as a linked address, but no information on the credit accounts I hold there are listed.
Its only 5 min away I am there every weekend. Plenty of people have more than one home, dont see why you cant have mail, correspondence, statements sent to which ever one is more convenient.0 -
Hi Typhoon,
I'm sure lots of companies allow you to have a different correspondance address.
I have all my cards regiustered at home, but get parcels delivered to my work address.I very rarely have a problem because almost every company cater for a different billing address to delivery address.
However I am certain that creditors will want to know where you live for obvious reasons.
I am not in any way suggesting anyting untoward on your part, but it does sound like these have been supplied as your home address (which may well have been true at the time) rather than simply being supplied as a correspondance or delivery address.
So yes, you are right that serveral addresses can be used but in the correct context e.g. correspondance address, billing address, delivery adrdess.
I have not consulted any of my terms and conditions in details.
I'd just be suprised if creditors weren't interested in where people lived.
Imagine when they send the balliffs round etc.
I realise in your case it's a case of not updating it rather than supplying the wrong one in the first place.
Anecdotally, renters have told me that the lack of a mortgage on their credit file is a negative but that is purely anecdotal.
Personally I think paying off a mortgage should be taken as a positive sign, but lenders are interested in seeing evidence of people handling credit, not necessarily of saving or paying it down.0
