I would like to create a website for personal/non profit making use but do not want to pay anything for the setup and ongoing hosting. It would contain a few pages of information/photos, a calendar of events, a basic forum and possibly an area for people/members to upload their personal details and photos.
Anybody done anything like this before and therefore offer any advice?

You often get free webhosting with your ISP. I used to get 50MB with Tiscali and now get 500MB with Titan ADSL.
You usually get a horribly long and un-memorable web address from the ISP, but if you don't mind paying about £3 a year, you can get a nice .co.uk web address from someone like 123-reg.co.uk or 1and1.co.uk.0
