From now on ignore them. Excel had a case thrown out even though the driver admitted to it. You'll get about 6 letters and threats, 1 or 2 debt collectors letters and then silence. At least they are helping to keep royal mail working.
Am in the position where i received a parking invoice for parking in a permit holders only bay, my partner is the rk and they are taking her to the small claims court, quoting that she is responsible even if she was not driving for the car and any 'fines', even their signs says they will clamp or tow you nothing about tickets. What should her defence be on this.

Can you post up the exact wording in their Particulars of Claim?
Car was parked in a private bay reserved for ******* without a permit, we have to make sure bays are clear. Ample warning sighs stating ticketing/clamping takes place.
Ticket was ignored got details from dvla, she says harrasment.
Their warning signs do not state tickets just clamps /towing. not even sure signs refer to actual space0 -
Yep that's a PPC and can be safely ignored.
You'll about 6 more bits of rubbish and then they give up.
edit. Ignore as poster may have had a court claim.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

Peter, fingeroffate has received a court claim. The POC's sound as if it might be from PCN-UK
However we have no idea how FOF knows its a genuine one. Have they phoned the court, googled the number only, and checked out the serial number and password? Its well known that some ppc's copy them and pretend they're real as a ploy to frighten them.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
She was not driving. Privity.0

Hi folks
The above posts have been moved from the article discussion thread into this one.
fingeroffate - you'll need to provide further details although I understand you may not want to do so on a forum. If you send details by PM to any of the above posters (all of whom are pretty established on this board so I think we can trust them) they'll be able to point you in the right direction.
If this is a genuine court claim it will be even more important that you get the right advice and it may therefore be more appropriate for you to visit Pepipoo where there are more experts hanging around. Good luck, don't hesitate to ask for help and if you do take it to Pepipoo, please keep us informed as to how it goes0
