Hi guys and gals.
I have had a quick search to try and find out if that was a stupid question or not but basically..
i've been a bit silly and left my CC payment a bit late.... (flame all you like its been a crazy few weeks). Now i check my acc online and its asking for minimum payment before the 25th Dec.
Now I can put through a debit card transaction but they say leave it 4 days to clear.
So I am just outside of their minimum payment time scale...
Now is there any way I can pay this off in cash or another type of instant payment?
I really dont want to loose my 0% on BTs!
Would phoning them up help?
I am a bit stuck!!
Help :rotfl:
I appreciate anything you say thanks.

Check out Faster Payments. If you are set up for online banking and your bank does Faster Payments then you can put a payment through and it should clear in a few hours. Go to the bank first thing in the morning and ask to make a payment via Faster Payment method. It doesn't cost anything, well it didn't for me, and it should clear in a few hours.
I made a payment this way on a Friday afternoon around 12.30pm and it cleared by the time I got back from town, around 5pm. Hope you get things sorted.
Check this link out for info

To the OP, do you bank with a bank that does outward Faster Payments? As Virgin CC is underwritten by MBNA, this link may help.
Otherwise, although I have no experience with Virgin CC myself (but used Natwest & Thomas Cook (underwritten by Barclaycard) CCs in the past), my understanding that whilst they always mention Debit Card takes 4 days to clear, it normally clears within 1-2 working days.
Hope this helps!0 -
thank you for your replys!
I have a Halifax CC and Barclay's current account.
These any good?
I think Virgin does a faster payments... if not how else can I ?

Halifax can process a Faster Payment for you. Just go to the bank tomorrow, first thing, with your statement. The details, sort code etc for Virgin are on the back of the statement. Just request a Faster Payment to Virgin. They'll do the rest. You just have to sign a disclaimer in the event that it doesn't go through in time, you won't hold the bank liable etc, etc. It should do though, mine went through fine.

Next month, make sure you pay it on time. Put a reminder on your mobile or something to pay it in time, otherwise you'll be in a mess losing the 0% rate and your credit rating will be up the creek.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. I would still make a debit card repayment via their website. With my non-Virgin MBNA card, it generally clears the next working day despite what they say about clearance times.0

Yes, Barclays do Faster Payments. You can do it online.
Make sure you have the correct sort-code, account number & don't forget to enter your Virgin CC's card number in the Reference!0 -
I transfer money from my bank account to my Virgin CC online and that goes through the same day or next day.0
