    Hi all,

Toffee apple, your flannel gifts look very professional.

Legendmum I saw your photo of goodies they can start taking over the house :)

On the subject of pots of gold, I wonder if any of you have used edible gold leaf for anything and what does it taste like?

Good afternoon one and all, just read through the last 10 pages to catch up on the happenings of the last week. I have just got home from A&E having gone over on my ankle, which is now a lovely shade of purple - no break, but I do have crutches! Going to see Jimmy Carr tonight, so don't know how I'm going to cope!
There is a house nearby that has their Christmas lights up and on!
I have my ingredients ready to make chilli chocolate, but obviously cannot stand for a long period of time, so may make the most of a couple of hours to myself this afternoon to do some ebay listing and some online shopping! Got my SIL birthday next week, and she wants vouchers so really need to get them ordered. Will soon be able to look for tv for DS for Christmas, didn't want to get it too early due to the money back guarantee if there is anything wrong with it. DD is sorted bar the stocking fillers, but have a couple of days booked off in November so will do the last bits then.
I like the sound of Delia's chutney and may try this too, obviously when I am a little more mobile.
The kitchen is being done the first week of November, and I cannot wait!

If you type it into Google it comes up with loads of different places that do a letter from Santa! I cannot recommend any though as my DS is only 2 and not yet had a letter from the Big Man! Maybe one of the others know a good place! x

http://www.freelettersfromsantaclaus.com/ecard_1.asp This place do a free template and you fill it in and print it I presume! Some other sites are quite expensive the Lapland site wants £7.99!

    Hello all :j

toffeeapple -love what you've done with your flannels. Think I had a go at a dog for someones birthday earlier this year.........not as good as yours though.;)

I've been battling this morning with various shades of brown/cream socks trying to make ''cup of socks''.............lol Did it in the end thank goodness.
Re-did my ''pint of guiness'' -I'd done it with a black scarf but think I'll pretty the scarf up with some buttons so I did a ''pint of socks'' in a Guiness glass...........bit of a battle with the top as all I'd got was bath scrunchies. Managed to wedge one in eventually.........it kept wanting to spring out.............lol:rotfl:
Got all the socks sorted so thought I'd finish off doing patchwork border on a tea towel..........well, cotton I'd got that ''blends in with all colours'' was like invisible thread.........could hardly see it !! Holding back now till I get some black cotton -went and planted my violas instead.

Haven't had time to catch up on all the posts so hope you're all ok.:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
