Hi, I've got £20k in my HSBC ISA which since the plunge in interest rates is doing nothing for me.
Was going to put it into a fixed-rate ISA in April but any better suggestions?

Yes - move it now, why wait until April (unless it's tied in - but doesn't sound the case?)
You can get 3% easy access or up to 3.5% for a 2 year fix.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Ya i totally agree with you , move your money to a fixed-rate ISA , don't wait till April.0

There should be some good offers coming up to next April from providers.

One of my ISAs was not doing well so I decided to chance it in the stock market and it has gained a lot more than it ever would in a cash ISA. It was split into four funds and one gained 25% in a few months. Give it some thought, studying performance on some of the better web sites like Digital Look, Trustnet etc.
£4000 has become £4784 since the summer. I appreciate that it can go down but doubt this will happen as it includes China and Asia and Gold.0 -

Er, really? Do you understand how investments work?
The IMA Asia Pacific Ex Japan sector has had several falls of over 50% (peak to trough) since inception. Over the long term, I expect it will perform well. But it is madness to doubt that the sector cannot fall!
China and Asia and Gold are amongst the most volatile of all sectors. For the avoidance of doubt: I work for an IFA.0
