pcn uk parking ticket

hi all,

I have been reading up on all the threads regarding ignoring parking fines.
Now me and my mum went shopping and parked in a car park with lots of shops arround it but i think the car park is owned by waitroes.

Got back to the car and she had a ticket saying she had stayed longer than ticket stated,

Now we had returned to the car and put another ticket on as the first has expired, but this seems to have come out the car leaving the first (expired ticket on display)

The only proof i have is the refund part of the ticket that you take into the shops to get a refund on your parking if you spend over a certian ammount in the shops.

I caught up with the parking attendnt and explianed and showed him my part of the ticket and he said to write into them photocopy the ticket but do not say anything about the first ticket as you should only display one ticket at a time.

now i think it is
http://www.pcn-uk.co.uk/index.html
who issued the ticket, bloack and yellow packet with ticket inside. i have written an appeal letter also stating that the tickets they issue have no sticky back to them to stick them to the window so these incidents are bound to happen.

I have not yet sent the appeal and am now starting to wonder if i should or not, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

many thanks

As you will see if you read all the threads for ppc's its usually safe to ignore them. Despite all their bluff and bluster pcn-uk are not one of those that do court. Their paperwork is so carp its laughable.

    Do not contact
    Do not appeal
    Do not reply
    Do not acknowledge
Do not worry about all the rubbish they send you. Be consoled by the fact it costs them £2.50 for the dvla query and all the postage to chase you.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Even if you overstayed the time, you should still NOT pay any private parking ticket. These people are scammers from an industry which relies on scare tactics.

DO NOT send that appeal (certainly NOT if it states or suggests who was driving!!).

Completely blank all contact, completely ignore all letters except REAL Court papers (unlikely). They 'should' just send a series of rubbish letters to the Registered Keeper and then go away.

But if it is PCN-UK then - going by another recent thread - they may just be stupid enough to pretend to be sending bailiffs (illegal!), and/or attempt to make a County Court claim. IF that happens in due course then don't panic, post back on here and/or pepipoo for advice on wording a defence to see the scammers off. PCN-UK are a joke of an outfit TBH.

They are looking for victims. DO NOT be a victim, anyone who does ever line a PPCs pockets is perpetuating the whole scam. If no-one ever paid then their whole business would collapse, of course! :D

Now forget about it, enjoy Christmas and tell your friends and relatives about this scam. Direct them here or to pepipoo.com as it's such a common scam they are bound to get a ticket sometime if they drive.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

These two statements seem at odds. If you had 'been reading up' you'd know there is no 'appeal system' and to simply IGNORE EVERYTHING FROM THEM - THEY WILL GO AWAY.

    thanks for the advice.

I am not to sure why the two statements seem odd as like i sais i have been reading on these forums about the parking tickets from private companies and the the sucess thread too, i then go on to say i have not yet sent an appeal because as soon as i got the ticket i went into the libary photocopied my paperwork and wrote out a letter but have not sent it yet, i hope this makes more sense.

    thanks again

Sorry, I thought you were still considering 'an appeal' even after reading the threads.

If there's something wrong with your eyes such that you can't 'read right' you need an optician.

Which bit of the several hundred variations of 'ignore everything, do not appeal' was confusing you???

Oh, and a Happy New Year.
