I would say Samsug has a better contrest ratio and more HDMI ports
  • The amount of HDMI ports is not really important but i dont really under stand the contrast ratio
  • I'll go with Samsung if you have a plan to buy LCD.

    I'd go with samsung.

    BUT

On the strength of its SD upscaling...every LG i've ever seen looks horrid in SD.

The contrast ratio is pretty much meaningless because no two manufacturers measure it the same way. there is no standard, so it's just numbers.
  • Instead of Samsung 32" go for Series6 - 40" for home use.

I imagine the OP hasn't enough room for a 40", and has a budget in mind, given that they've narrowed it down to the two 32"

    I'd go Samsung though

The Samsung B series is a great range. We bought a 37B651 after extensive research and auditioning and haven't regretted it. I'd definitely go for the Samsung. I haven't seen an LG that comes close.
