Santander Zero - increasing credit limit?

Hi,
Just wondering what your experiences with increasing the credit limit of Santander Zero's credit card are.
When you ring up, are they able to, like Lloyds TSB, give you an amount that you can increase up to, and if you agree to it, increase it immediately?
Or do you have to give them a number you'd like without any indication from them, and then wait for like a few working days?
Thanks a lot for your replies!

I cannot speak for Santander, but yes you are correct in Lloyds and their approach to Credit Limit Increases.
Not all card companies work the same, Capital One for example, do NOT take kindly to you asking for a limit increase, they would rather write to you and say they have done it, thus giving you the option to either leave it to the new limit, or decline it.
Nationwide however, are a league of their own. They accept your card application with a limit, then six months later, they whack it down to something so stupid, it renders your card useless.........., then you have to fight with them to get it moved to a more realistic limit, which is then not guaranteed if you win your appeal, as they review it again in four months, so one never knows where they are with them.
Lets then hope Santander give a more positive approach, but the way things are and have been going, I doubt very much it will be easy.0 -
nationwide gave me a starting limit of £700 when I was eighteen, it's now around £2000 3 years later... i guess everyone has different experiences with themKavanne

Santander CC's official line is that they're not increasing any credit limits at this current time and that the accounts are under review on a monthly basis. Any credit limit increase will be done automatically and then a letter sent informing you of this increase.
