Buying Tesco Clubcard vouchers on Ebay

Just to warn anyone who considers buying Tesco Clubcard deals on ebay. My mum bought some from a very nice lady, who was very helpful, she sent my mum the clubcard vouchers. But when my mum tried to cash them in for deals on her clubcard account Tesco would not accept them because they were not registered to her account. So my mum emailed the lady who said she would do it for her on her own account and send my mum the deals (for Longleat). Well when the lady tried to do it she couldnt, it seems someone had copied the numbers from the photo on ebay and "stolen" the clubcard voucher numbers and used them already.
How despicable is that? So if that person has done the same on all the clubcard deals that are on ebay at the moment they are laughing!
Just be warned

Tesco refuse to accept vouchers where the account name and the name on the voucher is different.
I recently married and changed my name, and tried to redeem some extra points and Tesco money off coupons when I did my shopping. The cashier refused to accept them as the vouchers said Miss H but my new Clubard says Mrs W. She wouldn't accept I was the same person. She called a supervisor over who said there was nothing they could do. However I remembered I haven't been sent my new Capital One card yet, so was able to show them the credit card with Miss H on and a debit card with Mrs W on. Once I'd proved I was the same person, they allowed me to spend the coupons.
I would be wary of buying vouchers from ebay, due to the vigilant name checking Tesco do.Here I go again on my own....0 -
I cant see how people can carry on selling clubcard vouchers on ebay if they can only be used by the person who they belong to in the first place. How do you get round that?0

I think most sellers state that the winning bidder should choose which deal he/she wants. The seller then sends for these deals, receives them and posts them to the buyer. In the case of the OP however I must say I agree that the seller has probably conned your Mum. Even if the code was visible on the photo the name had to match it for Tesco to send the deals over. I think your mum should have a full refund. Good luck.Ithis site!!!

Well thats the thing, the lady who was selling them was going on holiday, so my mum cancelled the cheque when she found out she couldnt get the vouchers herself and contacted the woman. I dont think the woman selling them would have gone to all the bother of getting back in touch with my mum to try and sort it out.0

My mum uses my clubcard vouchers all the time and we have different cards. Also I use my husbands vouchers and we have different cards.0

I have bought tesco vouchers about 20 times on ebay all without problem. Upon completion I just ask the seller to convert to MFI vouchers.
I then spend in MFI.
strictly speaking MFI could refuse to take them but they want the sales. I have spent over £2500 which I paid about £1050 for plus my own.
My question is has anybody else converted to other deals which can be used by other than named person.
IE has anybody converted to hotel vouchers and then given/sold to somebody else0
