what lead to use with my virgin/cable box to tv

just hung my lcd tv on the wall and bought 2 of 3m long hdmi to hdmi leads for the dvd player and, i thought, my virgin box (looked on back and saw a small port that looked identical to hdmi. Its not, so can i only use a scart lead to my tv from virgin box (not Virgin+)? ive just fed 2 x hdmi leads through some trunking in the wall now i can only use 1, any suggestions please people?

    Get a V+ box? Think they upgrade for free if you're lucky.

    Just a tip.

    Avoid gold plated cables, only idiots buy into all that nonsense. Whats the point in gold plating when:
    a) its a digital signal, which means it either works or does not work, there is no middle ground.
    b) the connectors on the actual device won't be gold plated anyway.

    PCW sell a 5m gold plated HDMI cable for £90+, they buy them in wholesale at £3.50 each.....
