I bought shoes on saturday with my debit card and when i entered my pin the woman serving me said she had to phone for an authorization code. she phoned them and gave me the shoes and the receipt but when i checked my account today the money has not been taken for the shoes but every other thing i bought at the weekend is on my bank statement should i contact my bank?

Just leave the funds in the account till the payment is collected. If there is an authorization code the payment will be taken.0

Depending on the referal reason it could be a few days before the money is taken, all transactions should be processed in 5 working days. Not a rule but just a guide.These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
