I just made our first ever gingerbread house with the boys. The recipe said to melt sugar to use as glue to put the pieces together... very messy and not too pretty
I pored all the left over sugar on a baking paper Problem I got now is it doesnt tell me how to clean the saucepan after. Ive tried really hot water but it wont budge. The wooden spoon I used to stir with as is covered as well.. What do I do

Pour a bit of water in the pan and put it back on the heat until all the sugar has melted. Pour it all away and wash it up quickly.0

You can also use coke in the same way, pour in enough coke to cover the stain/rust/burned area, boil for about 5 mins then wipe away!Foreign politicians often zing stereotypical tunes, mayday, mayday, Venezuela, neck

for ref, salt works well too - just boil some slowly in water and it will gently rub the stains off.0

Will the same tips work on burnt-on oil at the bottom of a saucepan? The dw has had no effect nor has scrubbing.0

Do you mean burnt oil on outside or inside of the saucepan?0

Yep, the coke will!Foreign politicians often zing stereotypical tunes, mayday, mayday, Venezuela, neck
