if using wifi, the iphone/ipod touch should grab an address from the local DHCP server (in your router), not at o2's end unless you use 3g on the iphone.0 -
Still having no luck???? Any other ideas??????0

have you got mac address filtering switched on?
(on netgear routers its under wireless settings)0 -
Not at home to check at the minute but i will have a look, i am usung d link if that makes any difference???? Cheers for help so far0

on my dlink router it's under advanced > wireless management. make sure that there isn't a tick in the checkbox next to access control. if there is, untick it and press apply, then go to system commands > restart AP.
make sure you do this from a computer that is connected to the router via Ethernet cable0 -
Do i have to be on an iphone tariif with o2 and subscribe to wi-fi for me to access my home internet????
Just a thought as i have bought the phone of someone and using my 3g sim from my current contract which is not an i phone contract???0 -
wifi is completely separate from the mobile network/3g side of things so you shouldn't need an o2 iphone sim.Do i have to be on an iphone tariif with o2 and subscribe to wi-fi for me to access my home internet????

I have an iphone on a non-iphone contract and it will connect to the home network.
I did have the same issue as you though with regards to wifi and it turned out, it was due to typing in the password and not accounting for case sensitive in the letters. I turned off my routers security and it logged in fine, this told me that the password was the issue (if you turn off your password please remember to turn it back on)Topcashback 2009 - £61
