Legal Protection with Home Insurance

Is this necessary for home insurance?

if we have it with life/mortgage insurance do we need this as well?

sorry to sound thick... but a broker did our home insurance last and we need a cheaper policy as the premiums have doubled!!

Depends what they cover, eg the one with your house insurance may only cover cases related to being a householder but exclude, eg, employment law whilst your life insurance may exclude anything related to owning a house.
