In the process of getting a newer car, already have 1 on finance but have no gap insurance on it. Its in my name on finance but our cars are always in my fiance name as the registered owner and he is the policy holder for car insurance with myself as a named driver. Insurance is always selected as myself who does the most driving as i have the car for work. We keep him as the policy holder due to no claims.
Have been looking at gap insurance and whilst reading the terms and conditions 1 said that you needed to be the person named on the finance (tick) but also the registered keeper of the vehicle (un tick).
Sooooo if i become the registered keeper of the newer vechile, does it matter than my fiance is the policy holder with me as the named driver for car insurance?

Something doesn't quite add up here. On every policy application I've ever seen, the main driver is the proposer and the named driver is the one who does the minority. The named drivers NCB isn't taken into account.
Sounds suspiciously like "fronting".0
