Hi everyone,
I am 30 years old, in good health but for various reasons, want an injury/Illness policy to cover me for my wages should anything happen to me.
Can anyone recommend a good company to go with? I have no idea how much this will cost per month??
Thanks in advance!

You have two options to look at initially. PPI and PHI.
PPI is payment protection and is the budget version. Its not underwritten at point of sale but at point of claim and tends to have a more stringent criteria.
PHI is permanent health insurance. Its not as cheap (although it can come in budget, standard and comprehensive style levels) but it is underwritten at point of sale (so you know if you are covered or not), cannot be cancelled by the insurer regardless of the number of claims and goes on for a longer period than PPI.
PHI is by far the best option to consider. However, it is very little internet coverage and requires, in most cases, for an IFA to set it up or use of an IFA agency (if execution only basis).
There is no one best company and the price is set depending on a range of things. At 30, you are just about in the last years where it can still be reasonably affordable. So, you should be ok.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
