dreadful experience at Maplins

Options
After a really nasty experience at Maplins where a manager involved the police because we wouldn't go away, I need to contact head office but someone senior.

Does anyone know who best to contact as I've looked on the Maplins website and really do not want to have to keep going over the details.

Fortunately the police were lovely to us, but what a disgusting waste of their time.

Care to tell us what happened?

For all we know you were out of line and should have done what they say, in which case we wouldnt be inclined to help you. On the other hand you could be right and could give advice on your argument.

well since the police weren't too happy with maplins might give you a clue that their attitude was disgraceful, although to be fair it was only 2 individuals besides i reallly like their stores and want to give head office the opportunity to correct this incident. I shop in three other of their stores in local towns and have no problems there.

their attitude may have been disgraceful, but how do we know what yours was like.

For example, you stood in there demanding a refund on something, shouting, or be obstructive to them serving others, they repeatedly ask you to leave and call the police, now they may have been extremely rude back to you, but if you were rude or not removing yourself from their property when asked then you wouldn't have much right to complain.

I'm in no way saying thats what happened, thats why ive asked but as people tend to word things in their own favour on here, its a possibility.

  • nope that's nothing like what happened, I'm sure you're only trying to help and be fair to both parties and I appreciate that. However you are only guessing at the events and I have no intention of going into further details until maplins are given the opportunity to resolve this.
