Buildings & Contents cover - Continuously Occupancy

Could someone give me some advice please.
My Mother in Law is 85 and suffers from dementure. She has a house about half a mile away from us but because of her condition she visited us one day some years and and has'nt gone home since !!
That means that the house is mostly unoccupied.
Newspapers and milk are still delivered daily and we open and close the curtains morning and evening, the heating is ticking over etc but nobody actually 'lives' there.
Any suggestions for where to get house insurance cover as they seem to think it is either occupied or a holiday property.

If you contact the insurers first they will let you know, prob best to do a quote over the phone so you can make it clear from the outset.
It may cost a bit more then standard as its classed as a higher risk, and they may not insure extras such as accidental damage but is entirely possible.0 -
Read the Unoccupancy condition in the policy. You may only need to stay overnight at the property once a month to maintain full cover.0

To make it look like it's occupied. We go twice a day anyway so it's no problem bringing it homeI'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
