    Hi all
Am waiting for my application form for the Trust Fund and gonna ring up bout that scheme where they match your payments - only problem is I can't do that until I have money to make payments! Had actually heard about this before but they told me they wouldn't accept me on it as I wasn't able to pay the minimum they were requesting for this scheme.

Just to check - which scheme? There are an awful lot of 'debt managment' companies out there who take your badly needed money for doing something that other charitable agencies will do for free. Just put our minds at rest here.

    And congrats on the job!!:T

Dont do a DMP through anyone other than Payplan or CCCS - no fees involved and excellent free advice - and they are SOLEY interested in you.

But - the job! NICE ONE!!!!!

Every cloud, silver lining and all that!

    Hi
Thanks again everyone - I honestly can't believe that my luck has completely turned around in the past 24 hours!!!

It was the United Utilities matching payments scheme that I got turned down for but hopefully will be able to give it a go now I have a job and can actually make payments!! Still going to apply for the Trust Fund from them though as will be a while before I get paid.

Now I just need to figure out a way of living until I do get paid!

Will head on over to the benefits/job section and see if anyone knows anything about what happens when you get a job and go off Incap Ben. If anyone here knows anything it will be a big help :D

Yay!!!!!!! Me so happy right now!!! :j

I think you should be able to get a fair amount of stuff from DWP, including yout transport for work, and theres a new clothes pot as well that you may be able to get hold of somewhere in the BA

Also they should continue to pay your CTB & HB, but of course this is fraught with problems :)

Thanks, will be on the phone all day tomorrow checking out everything I can get to help me survive till my first payday!!

Have been told by someone that I might be entitled to Working Tax Credit under the Disability element so need to check that out as well.

I know it's really not something I should be doing but I'm splashing out on chips and curry for tea tonight to celebrate :p

Woohoo!!!!!!! Don't think I've been this happy for ages!! :j

You may be short of money in your first month of work, if you don't get paid till the end of the month. If so, I would consider asking your employer for an interim payment to see you through - I've done this several times in the past, for employees.

Please note it's not the same thing as an advance - it could be an advance, but more sensibly your employer could pay you some money equal to or less than 2 weeks' wages after the first 2 weeks, for example.
