    Walk away.

If they are playng up like this now, what will it be like when you are trying to negotiate exchange etc?
  • Every post in this thread goes in your favour with good sound advice which tells you everything you need to know about the situation you face.

Call the agent and tell them that you are looking for another property as you are not being messed around. It is important to call the agent instead of leaving it as you have then acted credable. Never burn your bridges in life as we need to walk back over them in future life!!

One thing with your posting though which I would clear up. You talk about your mortgage application as if you have not yet arranged the finance? Is that correct because if it is them it would help you to have all the paperwork with a lender in place so that when you do find a good property you can act quickly. By doing this in advance will give you an advantage and stop you rushing around when you do find a home.

Keep looking though and that dream home for you will be waiting somewhere.

    Good luck

Totally agree with what's been posted!

I'm a FTB myself and (unless I'm totally mistaken) sellers will/should value the fact that you're the end of a chain. First to get the survey done - next thing it will be first to get the contract drawn up!!!

I'd run for it - lots of other properties out there...

The EA is doing his job, getting the best price from the best buyer. Whether you want to be involved with this is upto you. Personally I would like to tell the vendor where to go on this one.
