Easyjet...flights cancelled.....

Why don't they keep their planes in the same locations for flights to and from destinations....oh yes....so that when it snows in France, the plane gets stuck, then the "knock on" effect means flights from Bristol, Glasgow, Newcastle and Belfast ALL have to be cancelled....

you'd think when this is a regular problem in normal operating times....when it snows....all the more reason to do it differently....

but then again you pay peanuts....you get monkeys operating airlines

They are a low cost airline because they do use their planes up to the maximum flying hours, and if that means that planes are sent all over Europe and beyond it is not unusual practice at all.

I was delayed on a BA flight once as the plane was stuck in a third country due to ice.

Came in to Gatwick on Saturday and incidentally noticed that a number of EJ flights were cancelled even though the planes were there and boarding, the passengers were all in baggage reclaim waiting for their bags to reappear even though they hadn't been anywhere.

The monkies are the ones that do not realise how budget airlines operate and then whine about it afterwards when something has gone wrong.

Did you get another flight?

I'm not needing a flight...I'm sitting here tucked up nice and warm....lol....its just between this lot (nearly BA and their strike) and Eurotunnel there could be a lot of people around this Christmas with no where to go....its just a disaster that this country grinds to a halt with some snow....its about time we geared up for it....and before anyone says...its expensive to "gear up" for only 2 or 3 days a year....remember....world governments are telling us about global warming and how it affects the whole years weather , summer and winter...so why not start gearing up now?....you have to start someday....why wait until the next ice-age...

good luck to anyone out there trying to get home....

  • Yup, we're flying out on Wednesday to be with family in Spain over Christmas, with Easyjet from Luton... I've got my fingers crossed that we'll get away on time, but I won't hold my breath! I hope everyone else travelling over this festive period gets to their respective destinations with the minimum amount of fuss ! :)
