Travel cost reimbursed???

Hi

I bought an item in large toy store whilst visiting relatives, have tried the item only to find it doesnt work. Have emailed only to get a non-responsive reply and phoned the branch they will hold 1 for me until i can get there.
The item is to be used my daughters birthday party at the end of jan but was for a xmas present. The relatives are abroad for 3 weeks and not back until the new year so they are unable to go and collect it for us. We however live 60 mile away and would be a 2-3 hour round trip. They will not arrange collection we have to return in person to the branch...is this correct? and do we have any claim for expenses incurred in returning the faulty product??

Would they have accepted an exhange at a closer store, assuming you are talking about a chain store?

No you cant claim expenses.

If you werent willing to deal with that branch you shouldnt have bought it there.
