Permenantly?
Contact your providers and request it. Some mobile handsets will allow you to do that directly. Will not work with texts though - the number will still appear even if you barr outbound calls.
For the odd call, dial 141 before you dial the number and it will withhold your number on that call only. (landline and mobile)0 -
Depending on the mobile make you can switch off the caller id from the settings.... which Mobile have you got JD79?Use your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.I walk with the world & the world walks with me!I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!!0

Most Nokia settings are the same so try this:
Menu
settings
call settings
Send my caller ID (Manufacturer set at 'set by network')
Choose from: 'set by network', 'yes' or 'no'
choosing No will permanently stop your number being displayed to whom ever you ring.

P.s This will not stop your number being displayed when sending a text.Use your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.I walk with the world & the world walks with me!I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!!0 -
Much easier, if you only want to restrict your number for selected numbers, just dial #31# before each the number then send.
It is a standard GSM code.0 -
If "Set by network" then it will send CLID unless you prefix with 141 or #31# .It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
