John Lewis white goods - Are they any good?

Hi,

Just wondering of anyone has ever experiences that John Lewis branded white goods?

I am thinking of getting this John Lewis fridge freezer:

Are the white goods re-branded as John Lewis, and are they any good? They all also come with 3 year warranty which seems attractive.

Well we have just bought that very fridge freezer! But unfortunately only got it on Thurs, so can't really comment - but so far so good! We chose it because of the 3 year warranty and generally having had good experiences with John Lewis. It was a good price and bigger than some of the cheaper ones so we just went for it.

According to this thread they are made by Electrolux.

I purchased a fridge from them last week, and was told by JL that it was by AEG. It had the same fittings as one I'd seen in Currys. I'm very pleased with the quality so far.

Hope it's a good one! Is a quiet, or does it make any 'humming' sounds?

I have just gone and stuck my ear to the fridge. It is pretty quiet. You can tell it is on, you can hear the motor or whatever thrumming quietly away, but it isn't very loud at all. In our old flat, the fridge was a pretty new zanussi and that was much noisier and also used to make squeaks, doings, all kinds of funny sounds.

I buy all my electrical goods from John Lewis as their service is very good.

We got an own brand washing machine a couple of years ago and it's been great

Most of the John Lewis own brand is Electrolux (parent company of AEG, Zanussi, Tricity Bendix etc).
They give a longer warranty than the manufacturer does on their own brands.
The JLFFW17 fridge freezer is Electrolux.
