    Hi what a great idea, please may i join? i owe £7500, on my credit cards i do have a loan but no way could i clear my credit cards and the loan,by 2012, i know the debt isnt huge but i dont earn alot so will just concentrate on clearing(hopefully) the cards,

    Oh, sorry I didn't realise it started in January. Yes, I got paid the day after I joined this thread so thought I'd add my debt payments of this month to it.

    Did everyone have a good Christmas?

    Not a problem! I figured it was a pay day thing - the main thing is that the debt is decreasing!

    Hi everyone

    Can I join too please? I really want to be debt free (apart from mortgage) by 2012 (my youngest will start school in Sept 2012) so this challenge is ideal for me. Not that easy as we are living on one income atm but with a lot of determination I think it could be achievable.

    Debt today stands at £15,699 made up of one large loan, one credit card and an overdraft. I am concentrating on the O/D first and the credit card and need to get shot of them before I can start overpaying the loan. So the total I am concentrating on for now is £4476 - I want that gone by the end of 2010.

    Thanks Dragon, that's fine..I will report the amount paid off my total debt for this challenge every month (the smaller target is just for me personally to make it seem a bit more achievable!). Better change my sig to contender no. 32 now!
