Hello - can you add my first payment please? £495.36 has been paid off the capital so far. That's really depressing, given my (our) mortgage payments have totalled £2,034 so far...Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0

Lots of people striding along the marathon route now which is great news for Team MSE!
COMP think about it - in one month you have paid almost 5% of the capital - that has GOT to be a good thing!
Total paid to date - £39,523.35
Percentage paid = 2.75%Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I wish - that's almost 5% of my target, not 5% off the capital. I've actually only paid 0.31% off the capital
Once I hit my target, I'll have paid 6.3% off the capital.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -

Hi please take off £29.06 which leaves me with a nice round £500 to pay off cc and £6000 to the bank of mum which i love in the sense that there is no interest to pay but i hate in the fact there is no interest to pay because there is not the same incentive to pay off the money as she is not expecting it back (in a disappointed way) so if i dont pay it.......................... Really want to show her she is wrong about that so must try really hard after cc is paid off which i hope to do later this month as i will use my council tax and the money i would normally have deducted from a previously paid bill. Well done to all we are getting there slowly but surely
Are you going to pay the Bank of Mum back gradually or save and do one large chunk?
Personally I would go for setting up a Standing Order to the Bank of Mum once the other debt is paid for a certain amount per month and any extra save it and throw it at the debt as an whenDo not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Woo Hoo!!! :j:T I've managed to clear 2 debts today. The first is a biggie as it's my car loan final payment & the second was one I only found out about yesterday when I got a letter from the vets to say I owed them £75, & I'd ignored there previous letter & were just about to take me to court :mad: So went & paid that today. I then paid off £400 off my credit card including interest. Not totally sure how much I paid off probably about 300 from credit card. So in total I paid £3815 Only £8358 left to pay, going to carry on working extra shifts & being as frugal as possible.Total debt £13318  paid £5660 Left to pay £7658 57%
