At last I have been able to make my first payment since I joined this challenge!

Ok, so I have paid £473.75, contender #135. It's the first payment, so totals are £473.75 out of £5220, which is about a 9% :D i don't think I will be able to pay that much in the next months but it's a good start of the year!! I think the rest of the months I will be looking at paying around 5% or so but I am chuffed I managed to pay this much this time. I have done loads of overtime though and I have loads ahead! I've been selling on eBay, I've been doing mystery shopping, I have cut back costs and I am planning much better :D

Thanks Dragon! I am looking forward to next month's result. I know I won't be earning this much until summer probably (and if), so now I will aim for a 5% and see if I can do it. I have to thank all the people here who told me not to consolidate and to attempt to pay the debts instead. If I had consolidated I would have £3000 debt on top from interest only!!!! I would be managing my months better since the monthly payment was low but omg the total! I thought about it and it is the cost of a Masters, or an all inclusive cruise for two, or a second hand cheap car, or my grocery budget for a whole year! I would rather spend that money on any of these than throwing it into the bonus package of a banker!!!
