Hi people
I haven't been around for ages and only just got back to reading the thread in the past week.
I've had a few unexpected expenses and then a holiday (which was very needed and really enjoyable).
Managed to move some CC debts around onto 0% deals. Finally realised that what I've been trying to do for so long is make big payments (well big for me anyway) off my CCs and then I don't have enough cash in my current account to pay for things during the month. Hence I then have to put something on a CC!!!
So... I've decided to reduce my CC payments for a few months so I can try and get a bit of cashflow going again. Seems like a good idea to me. What do you think?
Anyway, total debt is now £3,479.75 so I've gone backwards a bit since my last post. But total is still lower than when I joined

Making lower payments sounds good to me.
I'm doing that too for pretty much the same reason.
Although I was making larger payments to my credit cards, I was finding that when my tax bill came in, I was unable to pay - except by credit card. So now I'm paying less towards my debts and squirreling money away for the tax bill.
Santander have done me a big favour - though unintentionally. When a customer pays me by bank transfer, Santander decided that they were going to stop showing the reference numbers which I supply to the customers - effectively leaving me to guess which customer had paid. So I opened a second business account elsewhere with a bank that does show these references. The money going into this other account should roughly equal my tax bill so I do my best to just leave it there for tax time.0 -

I was thinking the same, hope all is OK Dragon!!
I love this challenge, it really motivates me to have a target otherwise I'd put off paying extra to the cards. Keep going everyone, hopefully Dragon will be able to update our totals soonxx

Im in EXACTLY the same position as you!!! Ive been paying £350 off my credit carde very month leaving me with £200 to live off and it just doesnt cut it with food and petrol and having some kind of treat once a month e.g. cinema
Do ya think its better to lower it by 100 quid. The only thing with that is that its going to take sooooooooo much longer to pay it off. And its getting me down, once ive got rid of OD and one credit card and catalogue and im only on 2 credit cards I will feel so much better. They both on interest free until march 2011... eeekTotal debt £17,135 total paid off £5250 -
