Hi, my mum and dad both have credit cards with a high street bank. i also have one with the same bank and we all live at the same address.
My mum and dad are taking theirs into the bank tomorrow to cancel theirs. I asked Can the bank tell them about my credit card as we are at the same address?

I certainly should not think so, with the Data Protection Act and all that. Your banking info is confidential. I think it's very unlikely they would reveal any details about your account to an unauthorised third party.
Once, my dad was in Cambodia and his credit card stopped working. He asked me to go into HSBC and sort it out for him. I took some documents to prove I was his son and I also took some household bills addressed to him to prove I lived at the address. They refused point blank to talk to me about his account, they wouldn't even confirm he had a credit card - and that's the way it should be really. I don't think you should worry!0 -

What's going on here. You've posted this message in four different boards this afternoon and despite being giving the answer first time you keep posting the same question again and again.0

Sometimes someone will suggest you take your problem to another forum section - or you may find another section which is much more obviously suited to your problem. It is OK to post your problem again if you state where you have already posted the problem and you add another post to your original thread to say that you have posted again elsewhere. But please don't just post the same problem in a scattergun approach across all the sections.
Understanding this will help you everywhere on the Internet.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
