backlight bleeding?

i have a panasonic freesat lcd 37 inch tv . when tv is first switched on 2 grey shadows appear bottem right and left of the screen is this backlight
bleeding ? if so how do i get rid of it? ihave heard that if you slightly undo the screw at the back it might help .
any advice welcome thanks.

Thats is backlight bleed yes. ALL LCD screens are 'susceptible' to it (Some more than others)
First up, make sure you have the tv calibrated correctly (Use a THX setup disc or similar) The backlight shouldnt be on too high else youll make blacks 'grey' anyways. Too high will also make the bleed even worse than it really is.
And yes, loosening the back screws has been known to help (Its the major contributer to backlight bleed) but I certainly wouldnt if its still under guarantee:idea:0 -
