A CTF Christmas Present?

I was just wondering what to get my 3 month old nephew for christmas and was thinking that I could put some money in a CTF for him and which his parents can then stick his annual voucher in? Would this be possible? I'd prefer it to be a surprise but am concerned that I won't be able to do it without telling them first. Help!

Thanks in advance...:D

Sorry - not possible. You can't open a CTF without a voucher (see the CTF link above your post).
You can open a 'trustee' account ..... but you'll need a birth certificate for the child.

Easiest way is to give the funds via the parents and specify it's to go in the CTF. Give them some of the research from above at the same time?
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !

Make a cheque payable to your nephew and once they have the CTF opened they can pay it into there :)
