  • does anyone know what the boots stores are like in the manchester area for stock?
was in the trafford centre one last week and there wasnt much left. No toys at all, but a few aisles of other bits and bobs, mainly tat!
can get to any of the manchester ones so just wondering if anyone knows which stores will be the best to go to/ones to avoid?
    thanks

Can't wait for the 75% sale to start. Why don't they just tell us what day it is starting? My workmates mil works for Boots and she doesn't even know when it is, but as soon as she gets told she'll tell workmate who'll text me.
Was in my local 1 today and they have loads left, I mean at least 4 aisles full if not more. I was lurking around some stuff as 2 SA were talking, hoping they might mention the date, but no. I must have looked really suspicious. LOL

'Cause who would buy stuff at 50% if the store had signs up that said "Items reduced to 75% in two days?" Makes loads of sense for them not to advertise it in advance -- and loads of sense for use to suss it out if possible! It sounds like you have an excellent notification system set up though!
  • bury st edmunds still have quite alot of stock went in there today to take some broken straightners back and asked the girl if they would go down to 75% off she said no as theyre all yr round stock she didnt correct me about the 75% off sale though so looks like still on
what time does the on-line sale start please??????
  • I was PMd and asked to post this again (I did it last year!), and I've also posted it on the Boots £5 voucher thread. Good Luck All!

    THE SALE

Northern and Southern and Eastern and West,
Thousands of Bootsers are doing their best
Those that are stricken with sickness and flu
Are dosing themselves with a horrible brew:(

Their feverish foreheads are cooled with some water
Just so they're able to do what they oughta
Laptops are hot, eyelids are burning
All over Britain, a terrible yearning

"Please let me get there before the sale starts"
Is the agonised cry, from our agonised hearts
"Don't let the buses break down or be late
Can't cope with punctures, or tyres that deflate"

Some pushing buggies and some driving cars
Bootsers from Manchester, Maidstone - and Mars
Some are on crutches and some dragging drips
Arms may be broken, or ankles or hips

What does it matter, as long as we're there?
Don't change the date, cos it wouldn't be fair!
Please let the shelves be impressively stocked
Don't leave them empty and don't leave us shocked

Let us return with some bargains galore
Then all of this effort was worth fighting for
Whether it's Wednesday, or Thursday - we'll go
Just tell us the time and the date so we know

We'll be deprived of our rest time and sleep
Jobs that are urgent will just have to keep
Some are just fighting so they'll stay awake
How much of this hell must your customers take!!!

The annual Boots sale is a Stamina Test
You've kept us all anxious, deprived us of rest
We're ready and waiting, we're upping the pace
So tell us the time, and the date and the place!!

    xx

I was in Market St and there seemed to be quite a lot of stuff. Was there anything specific you were looking for?

I rung my local boots today to ask what time they open as I wanted to get to the sale before it starts, I told the assistant this and she informed me that the sale has been put back until next Wednesday! She seemed rather confident about this and was not hesistant in telling me! So it maybe worth getting in touch with your local store and just asking them!

  • maybe because they still have a fair bit of 50% stock in most shops, and as one mse-r said, if people are buying online at 50% then MrB is spinning out....
OR, it could just be because of the weather...
    :hello:No more toiletries challenge :T

  • Boots are extending there 50% off sale for another week before reducing to 75% off!!!!!
