Reply to my very sleepy and grumpy email at 6.40 this morning

    Dear Mrs
Thank you for contacting us about the 75% sale we put on our website. I am sorry to hear of the errors that you experienced.

I can confirm there was an error with our website due to the popularity of the sale and as a result many items were going out of stock as our customers were trying to order them. This resulted in a number of generic error messages being displayed throughout the order process.

As a result this was taken down as the stock levels of the sale items were low or they were already out of stock.

I do apologise for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for bringing your feelings to our attention. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Boots.com team on 0845 609 0055, quoting reference number 6220301.

We have asked a few questions at the bottom of this e-mail, which will help us make sure we have provided you with the very best customer care.

    Kind Regards,

what a load of poo! they had the same probs last year, infact they have the same probs everytime they have a sale! my ex used to work for boots c/s and had many, many complaints during sale time. they are not learning obviously.

Got a few things. I spend £55 in total and got a few things for birthdays, valentines day and wedding anniversary.

My local store where brilliant holding things at the till so you could go and get more as you could not carry it. There where about 5/6 of us there.

Did hear that there they had loads trolleys of stuff they had to send off to another store as they had no room :eek:out back.

Husband bought for me the ultimate No7 kit for my birthday in July :T and he got a couple of other pressies as well he only spent just under £21.

I managed to use 2 X 200 points when you spend over £15 and my double points plus I got 3 x No7 Vouchers.

One of SA asked how we knew I told her that head office had MSE.

I also ordered a couple of things from the website to be delivered to the local store.

Hope everyone got what they wanted.

    Yours

    Calley

i always get the cleansing wipes with this voucher. very good too.
u just have to add £1.50
i wish i have live my life a little bit off the book, took a chance and gamble
  • I really, really want to keep at least one gift set for myself. But I had my Lush order delivered yesterday!! I second that on the facial wipes they are excellent if you do not want to have to put much more money towards something.
Ahhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!
  • Went to Boots just after 9am. Lots of stuff. Got several gifts, and paid for it all in points.

Just home from EK, couldn't get into town, OH called me at 8.15 saying there had been an accident on the A725 and he was stuck so I shouldn't bother.
So, EK it was. Lots of stuff, a few no7 sets but I didn't want one. Lots of Morgan, Miss Sixty, Sanctuary, Fresh, FCUK, loads of guys stuff....
I got a Jamie Oliver pizza set which looks great and an Elle body spray set. Trying to be good, really don't need anything at all this year.
HOWEVER,total nightmare for me, I left my points card in the machine!!!! :(
Went back and someone was off with it. Shame on you whoever it was. Asked all the SAs, and the lovely manager who seemed incredibly calm and went on a hunt for it to no avail. Panicking as there are about £85 worth of points on it :(
Would like to say a big 'well done' to all the EK ladies (and gents and kids) who were all very very civilised indeed. No pushing at all and lots and lots of excuse me's. Even the SAs were in a very boyuant mood :)
    Aaaannndddd relax.........
    :)

omg thats awful. did you phone up and cancel your card

As a matter of interest did it appear that there were a lot of Gok sets left? I got some from hubby for Christmas and I LOVE it, I thought it would go like hot cakes.

I was sad there were no Gok sets in sight in Dundee.

Wonder if some items sell better in different parts of the country? There were millions of Lavendar sets in Dundee! :)
  • Anyone else glad it's over?

Don't get me wrong I'm pleased I got everything I wanted (in store despite staying up most of the night) and my points have been rocketed using all the extra points vouchers from ACM and from the no7 gift sets etc, I've now got over £50 so well chuffed.

But that's me and boots over for a while, unless they do a special offer/voucher on S&G or there is "a super amazing too good to miss points boosting glitch" I'm done. Mr B has had enough of my money and I have been boots obsessed since the S&G Hatbox OOTW, feels like more than just over a month. Not only that I have more than enough to keep me going for the next 6 months if not year! And I've got another hatbox coming my way as a pressie from OH when he collects it.:rotfl:

I'm looking forward to pampering myself later tonight though ;)
