I know I'll get flamed but.... chill everyone, it is frustrating not to get on the site but.....

With the best will in the world there is no way Boots can set their servers up to make sure 500,000 people are all able to log on and buy the same stuff at the same time - there is not enough to go round.

There is probably a limited amount of stock and all of you want to buy it, as an order goes through stock has tobe adjusted and removed from the baskets of others who might well be checking out and in the payment process too, their servers then have to delete everything out of the baskets of other shoppers that are checking out, etc.....

If there were 100,000 of you in a shop and only limited stock and 500 tills then you'd not get in the door, not be able to pay, not get to the shelf etc.... it is kind of the same thing. If you get lucky you get lucky. Imagine how many people are online trying to buy at the moment - paid2shppers, hotUKdealers, MSE'rs..... the more popular these sites get, the more inside information that people get the busier the sites are going to get and this is why servers crash and/or only let a certain amount of people on the site. Otherwise it just aint going to work and no-one will get anything.

*runs off to hide* and get the kids dressed for school and ready to leave as soon as they are open so I can get to town.

Good grief - the excitement! After 150 Boots.com is temporarily unavailable & about 100 pics of skiing people I finally got a home page! And then (excitement knew no bounds) an offers homepage. But when I clicked on the sale I was of course taken back to Boots.com being temporarily unavailable.

Just seeing ds off to school, then I'm trekking into town, to a real shop that may actually really sell things!

i am so glad i didnt stay up for this. sadly i will be in work when it does kick off, if 9am is right, and in exams, so can't nip online ! i will get dh to have a look for me if it is 9am - he's off work today thankfully. lol!
